2007After having 2 temporary homes in the last 5 months, Tash and I have finally moved into our own place. We’re living in downtown Vancouver in an area called Yaletown. It’s a very trendy area with lots of little boutique stores and coffee shops and is a 2 minute walk away from the waterfront and foreshore parks.
Over the last two weeks Tash and I have been spending every spare moment away from work looking for funiture, unpacking our boxes and decorating the house. Boy was it a hard task! Even though it is just a 1 bedroom apartment I can’t believe how much work was involved in getting it arranged! Finally we’ve reached a point where we can say it’s finally looking like a home and both Tash and I are really happy with how it’s looking.
And so the official tour begins… This is our bedroom…
This is our kitchen and bathroom…
This is our lounge room… and home entertainment centre…
And finally… This is our view…
I’m really liking the apartment lifestyle… we’ve got great neighbours and everyone in the building is so friendly… so much so that everyone even knows the names of people’s dogs! Yaletown is great because we’ve got everything that we need… the major shopping strip (Robson St) is just a 5 minute walk away and there’s heaps of nice restaurants and cafes just a stones throw away.
Finally a place to call our home sweet home…

Hey Taz!
Yeah it’s definitely worth it… life downtown is awesome and it’s pretty easy to get a job here. Hehe word of advise… when packing, if you find something you “think” you might need… don’t pack it! We found that we have so much stuff that we sent over that we’re never gonna use!
Anyways, if you have any questions about the application process let me know.
Cheers!
