Over the past few weeks I’ve had an influx of photography work come my way which is great! It seems like now that the weather is starting to warm up everyone wants to start coming out to play! Vancouver is an amazingly beautiful city and what I love about it the most is the 3-4 weeks in early April where the Cherry Blossom trees start to bloom and the entire city is dusted with pink petals and a sweet aroma is in the air. Almost all of the trees around downtown that line the streets around Coal harbour are Cherry Blossoms so it is quite a sight when they are in season. I was planning to do a geisha themed shoot with an actress that I know by the name of Marita Eason, but instead we ended up doing a spring style shoot.

I had a lot of fun during the shoot even with all the teary eyes and sniffles due to my hay fever… but it’s very rare to have such a beautiful day like this so we made the most of it! Don’t forget to check out the gallery for the rest of the photos!

Today’s shoot was for Carolina Sanchez who is from Chile to add more tear sheets to her portfolio. She wanted to have something that was fun and sexy so working with Eman (makeup artist), who I’ve done a few assignments with we came up with the concept of using modern sleek furniture with some bold colours. The wardrobe was organised by Carolina and Eman complimented it with smokey makeup accented with gold/bronze. As always Eman did an amazing job with the makeup! You can check out her work here. For this shoot I got to wave my little magical Photoshop wand and changed the background is some of the photos to have a grungy brick wall replace the regular wall.
Let me know what you think, and you can check out the rest of the photos in the gallery!

Once again The Rockstar Production directed by Gabriel Carter proved to be a great success with 9 actors inhabiting 9 Rockstars! The show took place over the past weekend at Schoolcreative and attracted a crowd that packed the auditorium. The energy was high and the performaces were electric…

Over the Easter weekend I had the opportunity to do a baby photoshoot of 8 day old Tiago and his older brother Mattias. It was a really fun shoot to do because I used some props to create a cotton cloud effect and both the kids were extremely photogenic and played to the camera. I was planning on doing a shoot with some giant easter eggs placed around the kids but I’m sure I wouldn’t have been able to take 5 photos before all attention was lost to the chocolates!
Here’s a little photo montage video that I created for them:
